Board of Trustees Interim Meeting

When:  Mar 10, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (MT)
You are invited to a meeting with the DEA and the U.S. Attorney General for Montana on Friday, March 9, at 3:30 PM in the MMA Executive Office or by conference phone. They are expanding their efforts to end opioid misuse and will share what that means for physicians and the cases they are encountering. They also would like to hold a conversation on how physicians are self-policing their own profession. Montana Attorney General’s Office is also invited to participate in this critical conversation.

Candidates in contested primaries for U.S. Congress and Senate will also share their views over breakfast and lunch on Saturday, March 10. This MTMedPAC meeting will serve to help inform you of their positions on health care policies.  You do not need to be a member of MTMedPAC to participate in these meetings.
Board of Trustees business meeting is set to begin at 9 AM on Saturday, March 10 at the Radisson Hotel. During the business meeting, you will hear from the Physician Assistants of their legislative plan to remove physician supervision, converse with BCBS on prior authorizations, and share information on the Medicaid cuts with DPHHS Director Hogan. You will also hear reports and calls for action, including news on the tobacco tax ballot initiative and the launch of the state HIE organization. Please reserve rooms quickly as availability could be limited as this is also a weekend where the state Democrat Party is hosting a large event with Joe Biden as guest speaker.
